Girl Friends Pottery Outing:
July 25, 2009
On July 25th the Girl Friends joined James Ward at the Community Clay Studio in Chapel Hill to learn about pottery and work with the wheel. We learned to appreciate the clay and working with the clay. One of the many things we talked about was how simple clay is and that if we work with the clay instead of against it so many things can be created from it. Much like God as the Great Potter. We are so simple, but if we allow God to mold us and we surrender to Him, we can do great things through Him. Isaiah 64:8.
Little River Community Yard Sale and Family Fun Day:
July 11, 2009
C3 joined the folks who manage the Little River Community Complex for a Community Yard Sale and Family Fun Day to reach out to the community and raise some money for some badly needed repairs and renovation to the Complex.
We had a great day meeting people from the community and sharing with them the love of Jesus Christ and information about our Hands of Jesus ministry. Thanks to the Beulah Baptist Association for use of their Block Party trailer. Kids loved the inflatable slide, and kids of all ages enjoyed the popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones. The Bahama Volunteer Fire Department and the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department also came out with rescue vehicles, a fire truck and fun stuff for the kids and parents to take home about fire safety.
