Thank you for taking the time to find out more about C3 Christ Centered Church and our community. C3 is an up and coming family-friendly church with a new attitude on worship in north Durham, North Carolina. Join us for Sunday morning music and worship services at 11 a.m. featuring a blended contemporary and traditional style, and attend one of our small group gatherings to become a more active part of our growing community of faith here at C3. Led by Pastor James, C3 hopes to offer many ministries for people of all ages and walks of life who are looking to strengthen their relationship with Christ. The History Behind C3 Christ Centered Church
We came to North Durham after 2 years of praying about where to start the new church. We met with the DOM in the area and a pastor of a local church who had felt the need for a new church in the same area we felt God guiding us to (the community of Oak Forest, between Saint Mary's Road and Highway 57 on Guess Road in North Durham).
After much praying, we felt the Lord wanted us to move to North Durham and start the church. Again with prayer, we started looking for housing near the Oak Forest neighborhood and we came across the house that we are in now. After the whole family agreed that this was the house that the Lord wanted us in and the neighborhood he wanted us to reach, we told the real estate agent to help us. She pushed the papers through and got us approved after only 6 months prior to us being turned down for a refinance on our old house. This was truly God opening the door for us to come into the neighborhood and begin to meet our neighbors. After God closed one door, he opened another.
How Did We Come Up With C3?
C3 represents the three C's in our church name, Christ Centered Church, and the three crosses in our logo represent the three crosses at the spot where Christ was crucified. The name Christ Centered Church is just as it says, Christ is at the center of all that we do here, and without Him we can do nothing.
